"Harper's Bazaar: 150 Years" (Abrams, April 2017). To mark Bazaar's 150th anniversary in 2017, the magazine produced a 400-page volume that collects some of most iconic pieces of work from its archives. The book, which was co-sponsored by American Express, features more than 300 images and a range of more than 50 articles and texts. Read about it here.
The magazine also collaborated with experiential agency Obscura Digital to create an epic multimedia exhibition. On April 19, 2017, beginning at 8:30pm, a 30-minute program featuring a selection of images from the book were projected onto the Empire State Building. The event was presented by Tiffany & Co, with a viewing party at the Rainbow Room. Read about it here and view a video about the project below.
The September 2015 issue marked the American debut of Bazaar Art, a supplement devoted to the intersection of art and fashion. The package, which was sponsored by NorthPark Center mall and public-art space in Dallas, Texas, featured a cover created for Bazaar by the artist Shepard Fairey along with contributions from designers Tom Ford, Nicolas Ghesquière, Stella McCartney, and Raf Simons, amongst others. For the March 2016 issue, Bazaar created a special 16-page supplement devoted to New York supported by Coach. Contributors included in Lena Dunham, Zoe Kravitz, Patti Smith, Deborah Harry, and Langley Fox, who created the cover illustration for Bazaar. View here.
As part of Bazaar's May 2015 "Beauty" issue, the magazine collaborated with Saks Fifth Avenue on Bazaar Gardens, a supplement dedicated to "all things fashionable and floral." The package was tied a fragrance initiative that Saks staged at its New York City flagship where a number of designers, houses, and brands curated gardens and floral arrangements throughout the store.
