WFS : Matiz with new concept doors
To me a door is a fairly boring item on a car.
All it has to do is open, close and slow down anything on its way through the car in the event of an accident.
But this boredom seems to provoke Barrys into action.
Suicide doors went out of fashion on everything except black taxis.
Lambo doors only belong on a Lambo.
Gull wing doors are thankfully rare.
I stumbled across a new concept though whilst rummaging through Youtube.
possibly modeled on a Gerry Anderson SPV I present the Cutting Edge of barely functional door tecnology..... Side Exit ejector doors
Oh and I think your bonnet bulge is on upside down mate.
Maybe the passenger can lean out to help balance the car like sidecar racing, not sure of the benefits of the drivers seat joining in.
Not designed for Fat Bastards or smiley people.
Ever wondered where 1980s disco speakers end up ? Mystery solved I reckon.
Couldn't find any bigger pictures but I think you get the idea.
I'm sure the UK Matiz Drifting Club will be offering conversion kits soon.

Yes they do come with an 800cc engine, but the later ones are offered with an option of a fire breathing 1000cc engine.tesopo76 wrote:I wander if the little 0.8 engine in that, can actually carry all the weight from the speakers and the door mechanisms or if barry has to get it towed about...

I think I would probably pay to see that. Either to have the door ripped off by a wall, or a hedge or a passing fly. Or just tipping it at speed would be hilarious.TheDodge wrote:Fucking hell, these people have far too much time on their hands.
The consequences of accidentally triggering the open mechanism while driving would be damn messy too
